In this remodel, we were able to double the amount of kitchen space for our clients and increase the storage space exponentially. We began by removing a wall to open up the space and incorporate one of our client’s major wish list items, a kitchen island. This addition created seating options in addition to the built-in breakfast nook with even more storage below the banquette. We updated the existing finishes with fresh, neutral tones on the cabinets and a pop of contrast on the island, island fixtures, and handmade zellige tile backsplash. We added warmth and interest with vintage accessories, including cutting boards, pillows, and art.
For the bathroom, our client requested that we modernize the finishes and function of the space, which is primarily used by the client’s sons. We opted for masculine finishes and clean lines to give the room a more contemporary feel.
